Senior Tax Associate Position Overview
A well-established public accounting and advisory firm in the Fort Worth area is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its growing Tax Services team. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base while gaining exposure to complex tax engagements in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and other business entities.
  • Prepare supporting tax workpapers and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Research tax laws and regulations, summarize findings, and assist in developing recommendations for clients.
  • Draft responses to tax notices and communicate with federal and state taxing authorities as needed.
  • Manage multiple client engagements while meeting established deadlines and budget expectations.
  • Communicate project status and technical matters effectively with firm leadership and clients.
  • Contribute to the development of junior team members through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, organization, and client service throughout each engagement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
  • CPA license or active progress toward certification is preferred.
  • At least two years of recent public accounting tax experience, preferably with a nationally recognized or regional CPA firm.
  • Experience preparing tax returns for a variety of entity types and individual clients.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • This position is based in the office and is not eligible for remote work.
