Job Description

Financial Additions is searching for a contract-to-hire staff accountant for a well-established company located near downtown Dallas.  The ideal candidate will be  an "early career" staff accountant with 2-3 years' experience and ready to grow!  
Responsibilities include:  
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger 
  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and account analysis.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements, management reports, and budget-to-actual analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with department managers to provide financial information and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications include:  
  • 2-3 years' experieince as staff accountant with month-end close, general ledger, and audit duties
  • Critical thinking skills, detailed, self-motivated, coachable
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP
  • Strong Excel skills 
  • Excellent commuincator both written and verbal
  • Positive, punctual, and professional demeanor
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required!)
