Financial Additions is partnering with a well-established and growing Texas banking client seeking an experienced SVP, Mortgage Lending to lead and expand its residential mortgage lending platform.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced mortgage banking professional who combines strong production and relationship-building capabilities with the leadership experience necessary to grow a team, strengthen processes, and develop a successful mortgage lending strategy.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the bank's mortgage lending function.
Develop and execute strategies to grow mortgage production and market presence.
Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop mortgage lending professionals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, referral partners, real estate professionals, builders, and other centers of influence.
Establish and monitor production goals, pipeline activity, profitability, and overall performance.
Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for continued growth and expansion.
Evaluate existing processes and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and scalability.
Maintain a strong understanding of residential mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, secondary market considerations, and industry trends.
Ensure mortgage activities remain compliant with applicable federal and state regulations and internal banking policies.
Work collaboratively across lending, operations, credit, compliance, and executive leadership.
Serve as a visible representative of the bank within the local business and real estate communities.
Qualifications
Significant progressive experience in residential mortgage lending/mortgage banking.
Proven success originating and growing mortgage business.
Previous leadership experience within a bank or mortgage lending organization.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing mortgage professionals.
Strong network of referral sources and industry relationships.
Deep understanding of the residential mortgage lifecycle, products, regulations, and lending practices.
Experience developing or expanding a mortgage platform or market strongly preferred.
Strong business-development, communication, and executive leadership skills.
