Financial Additions has a long term contract role (6+ months) for an experienced Revenue Accountant (or possibly a Senior Billing Analyst) at an energy company in Dallas. This is an onsite position but there will be flexibility to work 4.5 days weekly. High-level billing experience in retail, oil & gas, or other multi location business is a plus.
Duties include:
Extensive testing of new system to automate billing of multi-location terminals/billing centers
Work closely with end users when testing
Assist with daily/monhtly invoicing as needed
Ensure timely and accurate recognition of revenue from terminal operations
Anlayze complex billing system for reporting and data purposes
Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue transactions
Qualifications include:
5+ years in accounting role, with focus on revenue recognition
New system implementation/testing experience a plus
Strong analysis skills and can think "outside the box"
Thorough understanding of GAAP
Excellent interpersonal skills as this position will interface with a variety of people daily. Need a team-player who is easy to work with.
Experience testing software
Advanced Excel skills required, SAP or Oracle highly preferred
Retail, energy, oil & gas industry experience preferred
