Director of Adult Programs – Museum
Financial Additions is assisting a reputable museum in Fort Worth with a Director of Adult Programs position. The ideal candidate brings a strong background working in a museum environment developing and supporting programs.
This position is in office Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, but could require evening or weekends on occasion. The company has great benefits and company culture.
What you will do:
Develop and deliver adult programs for the museum
Update current information related to adult programs and events on the website.
Organize enrichment opportunities, field trips and educational experiences that support learning and professional development.
Research, write and schedule content for the blog and social media platforms. Also develop and maintain the content calendar.
Manage budgets related to adult programming.
Coordinate onsite special events, receptions, lectures and exhibition related programming.
What qualifications you will bring:
MA degree in art, art history or art education preferred. Undergraduate degree with museum experience will be considered.
Experience developing and writing programs for adult and general audiences in a museum or educational setting.
Experience working in a museum or cultural arts institution.
Knowledge of museum teaching best practices and a passion for conveying art, art history and cultural history.
Flexibility in schedule. Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
