Job Description

Financial Additions has a consulting opportunity for an  Assistant Controller at a large non-profit company in north Dallas.  Project is expected to last 2-4 months.  Great opportunity for someone who is between jobs and can interview and start quickly.  

Responsbilites include:
  • Prepare financial statements and adhoc reports
  • Supervise daily accounting functions and month-end close
  • Ensure that internal controls are followed to prevent errors or fraud.
  • Assist in analyzing variances between actual and budgeted financial results.
  • Track financial performance and report on areas that need improvement.
  • Ensure compliance on government funding
  • Work inter-departmentally on special projects 
  • Provide requested financial documentation to auditors
Requirements include:
  • 3+ years as an  Assistant Controller or similar role
  • Supervisory experience
  • Non-profit experience a plus, but not required
  • Effective contributor in collaberative settings
  • Advanced Excel skills; Oracle Cloud experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
