Job Description

Financial Additions has partnered with a manufacturing company in search of an AP Specialist for their Manfield, TX office. This role is direct hire and requires all staff to be in the office daily.

Responsibilities include:
  • Compare purchase orders, delivery receipt, and vendor’s invoice to ensure accuracy prior to entering them (3-way match)
  • Assigning General Ledger codes to AP invoices so the expenses are posted to the correct category for financial reports.
  • Enter and post AP invoices into Microsoft Great Plains
  • Process payments to vendors, both by check and EFT
  • Post payments that were automatically drafted from the company’s bank account.
  • File paid AP invoices along with all back-up documents (PO, delivery receipts, check stub, etc.)
  • Create new vendors and maintain existing vendor data in ERP and accounting systems
  • Maintain W9 forms for vendors and prepare data for annual 1099 forms
  • Assist with credit card and expense reconciliations.
  • Assist Controller with End of Month tasks
  • Back up other accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on Accounts Payable
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is beneficial but not required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience in a manufacturing is a plus bit not required
