Job Description


Financial Additions has partnered with a respected company in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on collections with light cash applications responsibilities. This role is onsite and doesn't offer any hybrid or remote work. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage the collections process on assigned accounts, following up on past-due balances via phone, email, and written correspondence

  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash

  • Process and apply customer payments to accounts, ensuring accurate and timely posting

  • Monitor aging reports and provide updates on collection efforts and account status

  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address billing issues or disputes

  • Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and customer communications

  • Support the preparation of month-end AR reporting and account reconciliations

  • Assist in evaluating customer creditworthiness as needed

  • Recommend accounts for escalation or third-party collections when appropriate

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to strengthen AR operations

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years collections experience and cash applications

  • Strong understanding of credit and collections principles

  • Proficient in MS Excel
