Job Description
Senior Controller/Junior CFO
We are seeking a high-performing finance leader at the Senior Controller or emerging CFO level with approximately 7–10 years of progressive experience. This role requires a technically strong, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and balancing day-to-day execution with strategic leadership.
The ideal candidate is a proven operator who thrives in a hands-on role, has significant exposure to private equity–style environments, and brings practical ERP expertise. This is not a position for a career auditor transitioning into industry — we need someone who has lived in the seat and understands how to run a finance function.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 7–10 years of increasing responsibility in corporate finance or controllership roles
• Practical, execution-focused leader who is willing to be deeply involved in the details
• Blends strong technical accounting skills with operational business acumen
• Approximately 70% focused on tactical execution and 30% on strategic initiatives
• Prior experience as a Senior Controller or developing CFO within a dynamic organization
• Background in ERP systems required
• Track record of improving processes such as financial close efficiency, internal controls, and system automation
• Significant experience managing external audit processes
• Solid expertise in US GAAP, financial reporting, and control environments
• Operational mindset with an understanding of how finance supports supply chain, operations, and working capital management
• Experience working in private equity–influenced companies preferred
• Exposure to organizations in the $100M–$500M revenue range
• Ability to develop executive-level reporting packages and communicate effectively with boards and senior leadership
• Team-oriented leader who collaborates well across departments
• Comfortable navigating periods of change, integration, or process transformation
• Skilled at turning complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for leadership
