Accounts Payable Accountant
Job Description
Financial Additions is searching for an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant with oil & gas experience for an in-office position in downtown Dallas. This is your opportunity to work at a great company with a growing accounting team!
Responsibilites include:
- Review, validate, and process invoices related to oil and gas operations.
- Ensure AP workflows are efficient, compliant, and completed on time.
- Identify and research AP discrepancies, and resolve coding or processing errors.
- Maintain organized AP records and documentation
- Assist with month-end close activities as needed.
Qualificiations include:
- 5+ years' experience in high-level AP role working in oil & gas industry (preferably upstream).
- Thorough understanding of coding, chart of accounts for oil and gas wells, and AP processes in the O&G industry.
- Proficiency with WolfPak or similar oil & gas accounting systems.
- Experience validating invoices, including those coded by third-party service providers.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- College degree a plus, but not required.
